Throughout the past decade, La Pietà has touched a wide audience that has enjoyed its brilliant performances through live concerts, and radio and television broadcasts. The all-woman string ensemble plus piano, featuring some of Canada’s top musicians, is the best-selling Canadian classical music orchestra. Founded in 1997 by Québécoise virtuoso violinist Angèle Dubeau, La Pietà is renowned for its breathtaking virtuosity, impeccable precision, energy, musical richness and above all, the members’ contagious joy of playing. The program features works of great composers such as Vivaldi, de Falla and Bizet.
